S.League 19th leg. White Swans Brings Home 3 Points from Wasps' Nest

Team2017/9/16

The White Swans flew to Brunei this Friday without top scorer, Tsubasa Sano, who is suspended for 2 games as a result of his red card from the last game against Garena Young Lions.

In his place came in Shoichiro Sakamoto, who has recovered from a minor hamstring injury; while veteran keeper, Nozawa replaced Shuhei Yamada after being rested for the last match.

Albirex has the first chance of the game when Motoda fired wide at the 11th minute, while Kento Nagasaki's long range effort hit the bar 2 minutes later. We broke DPMM's resistance at the 26th minute when their goalkeeper fumbled Kento's freekick and Naofumi Tanaka pounced on the loose ball.

We have a few half chances from Sakamoto and Kento at the 30th and 35 minute mark respectively but are happy to go into the half time with a 1 nil lead.

DPMM came out of the 2nd half firing many long balls to Albirex goalmouth, in particular, towards their star forward, Ramazotti. Our backline led by Nozawa stood firm until the final whistle.

3 points at a difficult away ground.

Home sweet home.
