The White Swans did the minimum of attaining one point in a 1-1 draw with Balestier Khalsa this evening, to win the inaugural Singapore Premier League title.
Kenya Takahashi drew first blood in the 32nd minute when his swerving shot deceived Balestier GK Zaiful Nizam.
However Albirex fell asleep after the restart to allow Balestier striker Hazzuwan Halim to chip the ball over Nozawa.
The solitary point is enough for the White Swans to build an unassailable lead at the top of the table.
The title win is the White Swans third consecutive league title and 12th trophies in 4 years
