The White Swans suffered a devastating blow to their title hopes on Sunday night, losing 2 nil to Tampines Rovers at Our Tampines Hub.

As early as the 2nd minute, Tampines earned a freekick at the edge of the box. Midfield maestro, Shahdan Sulaiman, duly delivered to give Tampines a 1 nil lead.

At the 25th minute, right back Shoki Ohara, gave the ball away carelessly in midfield. Tampines winger Jordan Webb exchanged passes with his teammates and rolled the ball into the net.

Tampines slowed down the pace after the goal and did not give the White Swans any sniff of goal sight until the final whistle

With the loss, the White Swans remained in 4th place. The next game will be against joint leaders Hougang Utd on 27th Aug at Jalan Besar Stadium.
