Thank you for your warm support.
We are pleased to announce that we will establish the Albirex Niigata FC Singapore U-17.
Currently, neighboring countries such as Thailand are steadily developing their football in the Southeast Asian region.
In Singapore, Mr. Tatsuma Yoshida, a Japanese, has been appointed as national team head coach. Singapore football is focusing on strengthening the program, including training young people.
Following the regulation for Albirex Niigata FC Singapore in 2019, six Singaporean players joined in the 2019 season, and eight this season. The percentage of Singapore players in the team every year has increased.
Last year, we established Albirex Niigata FC Singapore U-15, an academy organization for Singaporeans, and participated in the COE U-15 league.
The integration of Singaporean players know that they have to work hard to improve themselves in the Japanese team. We are feeling a certain confidence to the fusion between Singaporean and Japanese players in Singapore football.
In order for our club to further contribute to the Singaporean football, we believe that it is an important mission to provide an environment in which players of the developmental age who will be able to play for Singapore in the future at a high level.
Based on the above, “To play a part in strengthening the development of Singaporean players” “To achieve development in both development and competitiveness based on a consistent vision and direction from the U-15 to our top team” as proposed, we have established the Albirex Niigata FC Singapore U-17.
By improving the strength of Singapore football with the concept of Albirex Niigata FC Singapore’s Japanese football, we aim to develop better players to represent Singapore and who will be able to play in the J-League.
