[Match Report] Four Goals and Full Control in 4-0 Victory

In Round 16 of the Singapore Premier League, Albirex Niigata FC (S) faced Hougang United FC away from home.
Albirex started the match brightly, applying early pressure on goal.
In the 2nd minute, Naoki Yoshioka won the ball back, allowing Shingo Nakano to carry it into the attacking area before playing a final pass to Yang Hyeonju. He managed to get a shot off, but it narrowly missed the target.
In the 4th minute, Yang Hyeonju broke down the left flank and delivered a pass into the box to Katsuyuki Ishibashi, whose shot was denied by the opposing goalkeeper.
Albirex S continued to control the game, and in the 33rd minute, they found the breakthrough. Yang Hyeon-ju made a run into the penalty area and delivered a low cross, which Shingo Nakano calmly finished to give Albirex the lead.

In the 42nd minute, another chance was created from solid defensive work, but Nakano’s shot from close range was denied by a fine save from the goalkeeper.
In stoppage time of the first half (45+4), Yang Hyeonju struck a powerful shot from distance, but once again the goalkeeper made an excellent save.
At the other end, in the 45+6th minute, Albirex faced danger from a free kick, but goalkeeper Hassan Sunny produced a crucial save.
Albirex took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

The second half saw Albirex continue to dominate proceedings.
In the 51st minute, Rasaq had a chance on the counterattack, but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
Nevertheless, in the 55th minute, Mamat delivered a cross from the left, and Nakano positioned himself well to head home and double the lead.
Just one minute later in the 56th minute, Yang Hyeonju pressed the opposing goalkeeper, won the ball, and calmly slotted it into the net for the third goal. The momentum continued as Yang Hyeonju added another in the 61st minute with a beautifully controlled long-range strike, extending the lead to four.

Albirex maintained their attacking intent until the end. In the 81st minute, substitute Nicky Melvin Singh delivered a superb cross, but Nakano’s header narrowly missed the target.
In the 89th minute, another substitute, Shakti, provided a cross which was met by 17-year-old Helmi, but his header was saved by the goalkeeper.
The match ended with a 4-0 victory for Albirex, who controlled the game from start to finish and showed strength in both attack and defense.
