[Match Report] Albirex S Finish the Season with a 3-0 Win
In the final match of the Singapore Premier League season, Albirex Niigata FC Singapore welcomed seventh-placed Young Lions to Jurong East Stadium.
On this day, the SJ60 special event “hololive production Special Day with Albirex Niigata FC (S)” was held. Many fans came to the stadium, creating an exciting atmosphere even before kickoff.

As the final match of the 25/26 season, this was a must-win game for Albirex to keep their hopes of securing an ACL spot alive until the very end.
The match came to life early. In the 5th minute, Mamat reacted to a loose ball from a corner kick and calmly slotted it into the goal, giving Albirex an ideal start.

Albirex S continued to control the match, keeping possession in the opposition half and creating chances.
In the 28th minute, following a short corner, Katsuyuki Ishibashi was brought down outside the penalty area, earning Albirex S a free kick. Yang Hyoenju stepped up and placed a precise shot into the goal to double the lead.
The first half ended 2-0, with Albirex S heading into the break with a two-goal advantage.
At halftime, a special collaborative cheer performance by Tokyo-based cheer dance team Blue Seagulls and Albirex further energized the stadium.
Albirex continued to push forward after the restart. In the 47th minute, Yang Hyoenju found the net, but after a VAR review, the goal was ruled out for a foul in the build-up.
In the 64th minute, Albirex won the ball on the left side and broke forward through a combination between Yang Hyoenju and Shingo Nakano. Yang Hyoenju eventually got a shot away, but it did not lead to another goal.
Still, in the 66th minute, Shingo Nakano broke through the opposition defence in front of goal and calmly finished to extend the lead to three.

In the 69th minute, Albirex once again had the ball in the net through an own goal, but after another VAR review, the goal was ruled out for a foul in the build-up.
In the 85th minute, Rasaq played an excellent final pass to Mamat in front of goal, but the chance was narrowly missed.
Deep into stoppage time, in the 90+4th minute, Albirex conceded a free kick in a dangerous position. However, guardian Hassan produced a fine save to deny the opposition and preserve the clean sheet.
The match ended 3-0. With three goals and a clean sheet, Albirex closed out the 25/26 season with a convincing victory.
With this result, Albirex kept their hopes of securing an ACL spot alive until the very end, leaving their fate to the results of the following day’s matches.
