Comments

I am pleased that I will be coaching Albirex Niigata FC Singapore in my fourth season with the club. First of all, I would like to thank Chairman Korenaga and all the club staff for giving me this opportunity. In the 2022 season, we were able to win the league championship, but finished third in the cup competition, which left me with some regrets and feeling inadequate as a coach. I would like to thank all the players and supporters who fought through these difficult times together. There is no doubt that the 2023 season will be even more challenging. I believe that preparation is really important, so we will spend this preparation period carefully and look forward to the coming season.
We will continue to fight more aggressively, and we will gather with our new players and staff with high ambitions to create a place where everyone can grow. We also hope to be a dream come true for the children of the club's treasured soccer schools, football academies, and COE teams, and to conduct activities that will lead to the further development of Singapore's football.

Finally, I would like to thank all our fans, supporters, and partners for your continued support of Albirex Niigata FC Singapore in the 2023 season.
See you at the stadium.
