Jurong East Stadium was the epicenter of youthful football passion today, hosting the highly anticipated 3rd Edition of the Pocari Sweat Football Championship. In a display of skill, teamwork, and sheer dedication, 46 teams from across Singapore battled it out in the action-packed, 5-a-side tournament.

The Pocari Sweat Football Championship has rapidly become a fixture in the local youth sporting calendar, garnering significant interest over the past few years. This year's edition saw a diverse field of 46 teams competing across four key age categories: Under 10 (U10), Under 12 (U12), Under 14 (U14), and Under 16 (U16). The fast-paced, small-sided format of 5-a-side football ensures continuous action and emphasizes sharp technical skills and tactical quickness, providing a thrilling spectacle for players and supporters alike.

The Championship is a testament to the commitment of its sponsor, Pocari Sweat, to the development of youth football in Singapore. Pocari Sweat proudly sponsors the Albirex Singapore Football Academy (ASGFA), the youth academy of S-League club Albirex Niigata (S), highlighting a strong partnership focused on nurturing the next generation of football talent. This tournament provides an invaluable competitive platform for the academy's players and other local teams.



While the competition on the pitch was fierce, the championship also recognized creativity and camaraderie. Aside from the traditional 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes in each category, the coveted Team Creative Photo Award was presented to the team that best captured the spirit and energy of the event off the pitch.
