In Round 15 of the Singapore Premier League, Albirex Niigata FC (S) faced Balestier Khalsa FC away from home.

After that, neither team was able to create a clear-cut chance, and the game continued with both sides battling for control.

In the 27th minute, Sim Jun Yen broke in behind the defense and got a shot away, but unfortunately could not keep it on target.

Then in the 33rd minute, the home side opened the scoring, leaving Albirex trailing by one goal.

However, in the 36th minute, Cho Eunsu sparked the move with a cross, which Shingo Nakano headed back across goal, and Rasak was there to calmly finish and level the score.

In first-half stoppage time, Nozomi Ozawa was replaced by Naoki Yoshioka after suffering a blow to the head in an aerial challenge.

The first half then ended 1-1, with the teams heading into the break on level terms.

At the start of the second half, Albirex pushed forward positively in search of a goal.

In the 48th minute, Yang Hyeonju struck a sharp effort, but it was kept out by another fine save from the opposing goalkeeper.

In the 57th minute, Albirex created another opportunity through good combination play between Katsuyuki Ishibashi and Yang Hyeonju, threatening the opposing goal, but they were unable to find the net.

The evenly contested battle continued, and in the 86th minute Albirex faced a major scare, but the opposition failed to convert and the team escaped without conceding.

As the match looked set to go down to the wire, Albirex conceded an own goal in second-half stoppage time. The match ended there, with Albirex falling to a 2-1 defeat.

It was a frustrating result, as the team showed resilience to fight back for the equalizer, but ultimately came up just short of taking a point.
