Regarding the news of the sudden passing of Mr. Lim Kia Tong, President of the Football Association of Singapore (FAS)
The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is sad to announce the passing of President Mr Lim Kia Tong on September 14 at the age of 69.
Mr Lim Kia Tong served as President since 2017 and he made a great contribution to the development of Singapore football. We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family.
I was impressed that he always focuses on the development of football in Singapore first and always faced everything in a straightforward manner. He showed great trust in Albirex Niigata FC Singapore and gave us great understanding and support.
We will continue to strive for the development of Singapore football with Chairman Lim Kia Tong's legacy in mind.

Just last week, we had a long and deep discussion about the future of our club and the league. Although he seemed a bit tired, I was encouraged by his strong words and humor.I was impressed that he always focuses on the development of football in Singapore first and always faced everything in a straightforward manner.
