Message from Ayumi Nagami
Continuing from last time, I'm pleased to announce that we will hold Albirex Niigata FC (S)' Photo Exhibition at "At Twenty".This year, we had the unique opportunity to collaborate with calligrapher Kamari Maeda, who beautifully penned the philosophy of Albirex Niigata Singapore: 'The Reason. The reason why we are here.' This captures the essence of our players, who chase the ball with frantic enthusiasm, continually seeking the meaning behind their purpose. Our coaches, staff, and supporters are the pillars of this pursuit, offering unwavering support.
Singapore, to me, is a crossroads of dreams, where people with diverse aspirations converge, share, and then set off in pursuit of new horizons.
In our 20th anniversary year, Albirex marks a significant transition. This will be our last year as a Japanese team; next year, we will be reborn with a local identity.
This year also marks the end of an era with Tadanari Lee concluding his 20-year career with us. Similarly, our long-serving goalkeeper Arau is retiring.
Our theme for the year is 'Side β', symbolizing a shift in perspective from the middle of the season, viewing from the back stand side. It's about seeing beyond the front stage, observing the true faces and dramas unfolding behind the scenes.
There has been immense drama, and my aim is to capture and deliver these moments in a cool, dramatic way through my photography. I hope my photos will inspire more people to visit the stadium and experience the magic firsthand.
As we look forward to the next chapter, we humbly request your continued support for the coming year.
Calligrapher Kamari Maeda
Kamari Maeda, who has practiced calligraphy since the age of five, pursued his passion further by graduating from the Faculty of Education, Department of Calligraphy, at Tokyo Gakugei University. Now a professional calligrapher, he runs TUGUMI, a successful calligraphy school with 700 students across Japan.He has garnered commissions from renowned companies including Softbank and TOYOTA, and from the J-League, showcasing his talent across Japan.
